2009 Lilypons Wine & Koi Festival
September 5 & 6, 2009

Adamstown MD - Thank you to all those who volunteered and help made the event a success!  To those who came out a week early to cut grass and clean up Lily Ponds; to those who came a day early to help set up; and to all those who wrangled, sold merchandise, handed out ribbons, helped Sharon with administration, etc.  Especially to Brian Rutledge and Steve Sozio who judged every wave in the hot sun with little hardly any breaks.  There was great comradery among all club members which made the day a blast.

Congratulations to all those who earned personal best jumps, earned ribbons, and made it into the finals.  Each Big Air wave was seven groups long which made the competition difficult and the day tiresome.

A special congratulations to our biggest jumper of the weekend, Cathy Hawanchak and her dog Maxx who placed 3^rd in the Super Elite Finals with a jump of 24’11”. Maxx’s longest jump of the weekend was 25’2”. Way to jump HUGE Maxx!!

Tim Kline and Bella earned a 4^th place ribbon in the Super Elite Finals with a jump of 23’2”. Zachary Parzow and K-9 Buckley jumped 24’9” earning 1^st place in the Elite finals. Following behind K-9 Buckley was Rafe and his handler Carolynn Williams who placed 2^nd with a jump of 24’8”.

Chesapeake DockDogs took home 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th place ribbons in the Master finals. Placing 4^th was Ed Barnes and Cooper jumping 22’11”. Placing 5^th was Corey Allen and Kaya jumping 22’8”. Placing 6^th was Zachary Ward and Jake jumping 22’6”.

Our club also cleaned up in the Senior Finals taking home 2^nd through 6^th place. Congrats to Brian Rutledge and Mishka with their jump of 20’3” placing 2^nd. Behind Mishka was Peter Williams and Cir-El placing 3^rd with a 19’1” jump. Taking home 4^th place was Susan Hetrick and Coleman with a jump of 19’1”. David Perez and Baloo jumped 19’ even to earn 5^th place. Judy Shinogle and Siegfried placed 6^th place with a jump of 18’6”.

Congratulations to Jessica Shadle and Kaiya for placing 2^nd in the Junior finals with a jump of 15’9”.  Placing 3^rd with a jump of 15’9” was Debbie Frye and Puma. Taking home 4^th place was Zachary Ward and Harry with a 14’8” jump. Jessica Shadle and her other dog Abby placed 5^th with a 14’8” jump.

In the Novice finals, Allison Allen and Bo placed 3^rd with a 9’8” jump. Zachary Ward and Teak placed 5^th with a 8’9” jump. Karen Luciano and Callahan placed 6^th with a jump of 8’4”.

Congrats to Jim Pierce and his dog Jake for taking 2^nd place in EV Top Gun with 6’6”. Congrats to Barbara Jacobs and Mack, Sharon Rodgers and Thunder, James Sozio and Twister, and Lorraine Avery and Bella for placing in the EV Top Gun. Also, congrats to Zachary Parzow & K-9 Buckley for their 3^rd place jump in EV Cadet.

A final congratulations to all youth handlers: Zarchary Ward, Rainy Avery, James Sozio, Robert Polzin, and Chris Ginder.
