Harrisburg PA – Ten Chesapeake teams made the trip to attend Keystone DockDogs’ Pawsabilities to support the fund raising efforts of the Susquehanna Service Dogs. Taking time out from the event’s Doggy Olympics and dog-oriented vendors, everyone had a blast jumping their dogs. This was the first event of 2009 for many of the teams.

Tim Kline & Bella saw the return of their huge jumps from 2007, where they jumped their first Super Elite jump of 2009 to get them in the Super Elite finals and finished in 3rd Place with a 25’ jump. Sharon Rodgers & Thunder had a great Saturday with their best jump of 21’ 9” which got them into the Master Finals. Unfortunately, Thunder was feeling the effects of his fall on the hardwood floor on Thursday and only jumped 18’ 7” for a 6th Place Finish. He was later diagnosed with a pulled muscle.

Karen Luciano & Philo Beddoe battled it out with Tim Kline & Jasper in the Senior Finals. Philo stretched out to an 18’ 4” jump for a 2nd Place Finish to beat out Jasper’s 3rd Place jump of 18’ 2”. Jasper also saw some great Speed Retrieve action, finishing in 3rd for the event.

James Sozio had an eventful weekend handling Twister after Mom and Dad let him take over even more waves. In his first ever EV jump with Twister, he got a 1st place Cadet jump at 5’10” and got a new Regional title for Twister. On Sunday, he got his Regional Master Big Air title, when Twister jumped 21’1” for him. Dan Bryant & Maggie also saw some highlights this weekend.

Maggie jumped to a new Big Air Personal Best of 21’ 7”. Maggie also got her Regional Cadet EV title at this event, with her third Regional EV grab. We’re all waiting for the debut of Penelope on the dock.
