2009 Bark in the Park
October 3 & 4, 2009

Chesapeake VA - It was a beautiful weekend at Bark in the Park. The weather could not have been more perfect! Many thanks to all those who volunteered during the event and helping set up to breaking down the pool. It shows how dedicated our club members are to our club, especially considering it was a fairly long drive for some of us.

A huge congratulation to Jim Pierce and his dog Jake who took home 1^st place in the Master Finals with a jump of 20’10”. Jake also jumped 6’2” and won 1^st in EV Top Gun. Jim and Jake also won 1^st place Masters in Wave 1 and 4. Jake’s longest jump of the weekend was 21’5”. Way to go Jake!!

Jake also jumped big for our 1^st place youth handler Zachary Ward. Together Zach and Jake took home 2^nd place Master in wave 2 and 3 with a 20’8” and 20’4” jumps.

Our other final winners in the Master division was Allison Allen & Kaya (3^rd place), Sharon Rodgers & Thunder (4^th place), and Terry Moore & Sandy (5^th place). In our Senior Finals: Brian Rutledge & Hopkins took home 2^nd place, Brandy Fowler & Buddy earned 4^th place. Kathy Zeigler & Lucy won 5^th place. In our Novice Finals: Dorothy Douglas & Molly won 1^st place and Allison Allen & Bo took home 4^th place. Congrats to Sharon Rodgers & Thunder on their 3^rd place ribbon in EV Top Gun with a 5’8” jump.

A final congrats to all our youth handlers: Zachary Ward, Robert Locher, James Ward, Dorothy Douglas, and all their pups. Well done guys!!
