2008 Lilypons Wine & Koi Festival
August 30 - 31, 2008

Adamstown MD - A big thanks goes out to all the volunteers who helped make this a successful event.  Too bad we couldn't do anything about the heat and humidity that decended early Saturday morning.  The event attracted over 100 jumping teams with 21 of those teams jumping over 20' to battle it out for the Top Twelve spots to get into the Pro Finals with the Bubble set at 22' 2".  Four of our club teams qualified and six more qualified for the Novice, Junior and Senior Finals.  Congratulations to everyone!

Congratulations to our new club members competing at their first event.  Becky Baldwin & Remi jumped 12' 1" and Laverne Miers-Bond & Rio jumped 13' 6".  Ryan & Niles, at their second event, jumped to a new Personal Best of 17' 5".  With the adoption of their 4th dogs they finally have a dog that loves DockDogs as much as they do.

What can we say about the highly anticipated, sure to be exciting Top Gun Competition rematch, from last weekend at Dover DE, between black labs Thunder and Jasper?  It fizzled!!  As Jasper and Thunder both grabbed 6', both missed 6' 2", then Thunder grabbed 6' 1" for the win no one could believe it was over and at such a low height.
