Reinholds PA - Even with the rain on Saturday several Chesapeake Teams had a REALLY exciting weekend.  Lil' Miss Daisy Lou wowed the crowd with borrowed Youth Handler Taylor Rohrbaugh.  Daisy jumped to a new Personal Best of 22' 11", getting her into the finals.  Taylor & Daisy Lou then moved on to the Elite Class getting a 23' 4" that took her into the Top 4 where she busted out a 23' 10" jump to win 2nd Place Pros after being edged out by ONLY 1" by 1st Place Andrew Fisher & Morgan.  Carly was so excited for both Daisy Lou and Taylor she's still jumping up and down on Cloud 9.

Thunder was also on loan to Angel Cervantes and Youth Handler Chris Ginder.  In the first wave Thunder & Angel jumped a 21' 11" earning them a spot in the Pro Finals until the 4th Wave when it was Chris Ginder's turn to jump him.  Thunder & Chris thrilled Sharon when they jumped 22' 4", bumping Angel & Thunder out of the finals.  Chris & Thunder jumped 20' 8" for a 10th Place Finish.  Carly & Sharon have been fired by the dogs and relegated to chauffer and wave fee payer.

Carolynn Williams & speedy Rafe (37 mph) jumped a 24' 6" jump - the longest of the weekend - to get them into the Top 4 where they finished in 4th Place.  Dan Bryant & Maggie received the perfect Senior score - 19' 11" which got them into their very first Senior Finals.  With a 19' 7" during finals he earned 2nd Place.  Emily Hetrick & Argus jumped 10' 6" for a 2nd Place Novice Win.  Argus, at 11 years old, was the oldest dog competing at the event.

Brian Rutledge & Mishka won 1st Place EV Cadets after a jump-off with Wanda Landis & Chip.  Both teams grabbed 5' 10" during competition and missed 6'.  And, the both had the same number of misses during the competition.  The bumper was raised to 6' where each missed their single chance to "grab the bumper".  It was lowered to 5' 11" with both missing but at 5' 10" Mishka knocked the bumper down while Chip missed.

In the Iron Dog Competition the handler and dog must compete and score in all three disciplines:  Big Air, Extreme Vertical, and Speed Retrieve.  Chesapeake had two teams that successfully competed in all three:  Sharon & Thunder who finished in 4th Place and Carly & Daisy Lou who finished in 5th Place.
