Rhinebeck NY - It was a beautiful week in upstate New York and the dogs were flying high!  The Dutchess County fair was a huge venue with tons of food vendors and plenty of entertainment.  The DockDogs staff was back to our old favorites and we had a blast.

Steve Sozio proved that addictions will make you do silly things and drove up to NY for a Big Air Wave and EV on Friday night before the Delmarva club event.  Twister needed one more leg for her National Cadet EV Title and and Steve thought this would be a great event to get it.  Well, Twister had another plan, and even with all the distractions of high-divers, horses, and the huge crowds, jumped past Cadet and grabbed her first Top Gun leg with a 4th Place finish and a 6' 2" grab.  Twister would have qualified for the Semi-Pro Big Air Finals but they didn't stick around.

Kellie Wisotzkey and Clay enjoyed a leisurely weekend at a relaxed event and decided to stick around for the finals on Sunday after all.  Clay made his first National Amateur Top 4 and ended up in 4th Place!  Clay's best jump of the weekend was 17' 8".

The last member of Chesapeake DockDogs in attendance was Lil' Miss Daisy Lou with her youth handler, Taylor Rohrbaugh.  Daisy decided to put Taylor through the paces and demand perfection from her handler.  If the throw wasn't perfect, Daisy was checking out the crowd!  Taylor managed a few Master jumps with Daisy and ended up finishing in 3rd Place of the Semi-Pro finals.  Carly Keane and Daisy Lou also made an attempt for that elusive 3rd National EV Cadet leg.  Daisy was apparently inspired by the diving show across the way and decided to give Dock Diving a chance.  She successfully did a Reverse Somersault dive with a 1.7 degree of difficulty; unfortunately, she didn't even try to grab the bumper!
