Dover DE - Despite the DUST, this was a perfect weekend for an event.  We had perfect weather - 80's and sunny during the day with a tailwind breeze for the dogs.  Close parking and kenneling added to everyone's enjoyment and Delmarva put on a great show.  The BBQ was fun and relaxing - it was great to talk to everyone and the food was great.

Dan & Maggie successfully grabbed 5' in Cadet EV for their very first time and went onto a Personal Best of 5' 2".  Brian & Mishka earned their Regional Top Gun Title this weekend with their 6' 2" grab and 4th Place Finish in Top Guns.  Tim & Jasper grabbed 6' 4" for a 3rd Place in Top Guns in the battle for the top spot against Joan & Rain and Sharon & Thunder.  Rain and Thunder both went on to grab 6' 6" but Rain, in her first EV competition, missed 6' 8" twice and Thunder grabbed it on his first try for 1st Place Top Gun.  Boy was Sharon happy to have him win 1st Place!

In Speed Retrieve three Chesapeake Members made it into the Top 8 - Tim & Bella (6.56), Tim & Jasper (6.80), and Heather & Twister with Twister's new Personal Best of 6.64.  Twister tried hard but was tired after a lot of traveling and finished in 5th Place with a 6.89.  Bella & Jasper battled it out for 2nd and 3rd Place with the youngster Jasper winning 2nd Place with a 6.41 only .01 seconds faster than Bella's 3rd Place finish.

Congratulations to Cindy & Wonder on their new Personal Best of 15' - their first Senior Jump and to Jim Pierce and Jake on their new Personal Best of 21' 8".  Also, our new Youth Handler Cody Bryant & Maggie beat his dad by a whole 13 inches to qualify for the Senior Finals!  Congrats also to all the Chesapeake members who made the finals:
