Hamburg PA - Windy is the word to describe Hamburg again this year.  We managed to avoid the rain during event hours, but not the wind.  There were several casualties in tent city when everyone showed up on Saturday - flipped over tents along with bent and broken frames for at least four families.  The wind continued to be a problem all day Saturday - messed up throws, knocking over speakers, and making it very chilly.

Congratulations to Scott Whiteley & Finley on their 3rd Place finish in the Pro Finals with a jump of 24' 2".  In the top four, they were competing against Anna Balsamo & Pico (1st Place - 26' 7"), Rob DeDora & Seven (2nd Place - 24' 10"), and Sue Cannon & Gauge (4th Place - 22' 10").  Great jumping made for a very close finish.  Congratulations also to Sharon Rodgers & Thunder for the 5th Place finish in the Amateur Finals with a 19' 1" jump and Brian Rutledge & Mishka for their 7th Place finish with a 18' 6" jump.

The club battle between the young pup and the veteran dog continued and this time little Daisy Lou was edge out by six inches.  Gramma Tasha out jumped the speed demon on the dock again this weekend.

Buddy, with Brandy Fowler, grabbed 5' in Cadet EV for a 4th Place finish.  Carly Keane & Daisy Lou, along with Sharon & Thunder, gave their best try in EV but both failed to grab the bumped at their starting heights.

Injuries and mishaps abounded for the club in this event.  Thunder started off the weekend by chewing through a bag and eating ten cups of dog food, five Glucosamine tablets, and two pig ears.  His poor tummy was so bloated all weekend he looked like he gained 10 lbs.  Peanut, with Jane Harford, did a full flip into the water while attached to her leash because she was so excited to get to her toy.  Daisy Lou also did a full flip trying to get over the side of the pool and both Peanut and Daisy Lou will be attending Taylor's "Labs & Abs Training Camp" to add a full twist to their flips.  With sore and wagless tails from "dead tail" or "cold tail", Buddy and Daisy Lou kept their mom up all Saturday night.  Both withdrew from the final wave on Sunday after advice from Alisa.
