2007 Waterfowl Festival Hosts Delmarva DockDogs Autumn Splash

Easton MD - The second event held by the Delmarva DockDogs started out with a rainy Friday and continued into a cold and blusterly Saturday. Sunday it warmed up slightly and we were all very happy to see the sun out for the whole day. The crowds at the event were huge and everyone had a smile on their face as dog after dog jumped their best into the very cold water.

The Chesapeake DockDogs Club had four members make it into the Pro Finals with Scott Whiteley & Finley easily winning First Place with a Super Elite jump of 25' 2". TR Thompson & Charlie jumped to a 6th Place with a 22' 11" jump, Sharon Rodgers & Thunder jumped to 7th Place with a 20' 6" jump, and Brian Rutledge & Mishka jumped to 12th Place with a 17' 7". In the Senior Finals, Randy Hall & Caliber jumped 18' 1" for a 2nd Place finish and Jane Harford & Scram jumped 17' 6" for a 3rd Place finish.

In Extreme Vertical, TR & Charlie and Sharon & Thunder continued their ongoing battle with Charlie grabbing at 6' 4" for a 3rd Place Top Gun finish with Thunder right on his heels with a 6' 2" grab for a 4th Place Top Gun finish. Brian & Mishka competed in their second Extreme Vertical competition and grabbed 5' 6" for a 2nd Place Cadet finish.

A brand new Chesapeake member competed for their very first time - Cynthia Eyler & Wonder. Wonder debuted with a 4' 6" jump on Friday but after feeling that cold water decided he would wait for the next warmer event to show off how far he can jump. Congratulations to everyone at the last event held in 2007 and we hope to see you soon. REST UP and SAVE UP over the winter - we hear there are even more events coming in 2008.
